Changing Properties

1. You can change the properties of an individual item (e.g. component, track, text) in your design using its 'Properties' dialog box. This can be accessed by right clicking on the item and selecting 'Properties...' or by selecting the item and clicking on the 'Item Properties' button on the toolbar. Make the changes you require and then click OK to apply them to that specific item.

2. Note for Teachers. It is also possible to change the track and pad widths within real-PCB globally. To do this you need to edit the realPCB.ini file as follows:

• Open the file from C:\Program Files\Crocodile Clips\Crocodile Technology\real PCB\ (or wherever you have installed the software) using a text editor such as TextPad or Notepad.
• Edit the properties you wish to change.
  
• Alter the values to what you require, all values should be in mm.
• Save the file as a text file.

The next time you start up real-PCB these settings will be used globally on any new files you create. Deleting this file will return the settings back to the real-PCB defaults.
